"I am super stoked to announce that yesterday I came to terms with San Francisco-based Alternator Records, and am now an official Alternator recording artist! 

It has been a long, wonderful, winding road to get here, but it was an adventure of a lifetime that started over 10 years ago in Los Angeles. Guitarist and Indy 500 champion Kenny Brack, along with drummer Chris Hesse (Hoobastank), producer/mixer/guitarist Michael James (New Radicals, Hole, Jawbreaker, Sammy Hagar), and I formed the band, The Minty Freshman. We spent a week writing and recording in Michael’s studio in Simi Valley, but as is often the case in the Entertainment biz, the project was shelved due to scheduling issues. 

In 2021 I was featured on the critically acclaimed album on Alternator Records, “Shelter In Place” by Michael James, and I starred in the music videos for “I Can’t Make You Love Me If You Don’t (I'm Drifting Away)" and “Save Me Tonight,” which was directed by Allen Farst (Chuck Leavell: The Tree Man and Triangle Park.)

Our history and camaraderie led to Alternator's founder, Michael James, offering me a record deal, and now this incredible journey begins a new chapter. James developed the careers of Hole, L7 and New Radicals and was the head of A&R at Warner Music Discovery. He has been a true friend for years now. I have no doubt that joining the Alternator team is the best fit for me and will give me the support required to elevate the music we create with honesty and integrity.

“You Make It Look Easy” will be my first single on Alternator Records, scheduled for release this summer! Michael encouraged me to woodshed my new Pro Tools rig, so I immersed myself (pun intended because the record is mixed in both stereo and immersive Dolby Atmos) in the process and ended up playing all the instruments myself.
